My Background
My tattoo story started in the 2000s (yes that long ago!). Caught up in the huge boom in tattooing as tattoos became more accepted and part of pop culture I found myself juggling multiple jobs, one of which was being an apprentice at a local tattoo studio. Thinking possible naively that 'I can do that!' I absorbed everything I could related to tattoo art, culture and history. I was always interested in art but this was the first time I committed fully to an art form, one that led me into other styles of fine art as well.
I developed my art style and learned how to be part of a team always with the focus of providing the best service I could for clients. I was led to different shops and locations and was able to connect with many local individuals that I still see day to day.
After a certain point I realized that when it involves tattooing, less is more. That to provide the best tattoo experience the focus has to be on the client who is getting tattooed. Working in a private studio provides the most efficient and productive way to complete a tattoo. This environment is cleaner as well and leads to tattoos that heal better and look better over time. With this in mind I started tattooing privately, attempting to create the best tattoos and designs I possible could. This was a large undertaking for me. So with my private studio setup I was ready to go.
So here we are. I work privately in my own environment which caters to the clients I tattoo and also helps provide a calm, relaxed atmosphere. I continue to learn with every unique request and am excited to see what the future holds!
